As I reflect on all that is 2025, I reflect with fondness and gratitude on the creative practices that Jackson and I have put in place. Craft, art, and creativeness has always been a great grounding for me. In this year of great ups and downs, the carving out from the day to day for art, has been a beam of light, a curation of creative practice, and a wonderful way for us to get out of our routines and make.
While I wish there were more days filled with creative energy, I am grateful for the days with friends around the dye pot, or the evenings inking a page. This year marks a full year+ of Sketcherz, a weekly drawing meet up that Jackson hosts. I also hosted 3 natural dye workshops and saw myself doing printing with natural dyes. Printing with natural dyes is something I have wanted to do more of for some time, and it is exciting to start to dive in.

In 2026, I am looking forward to a little international travel, time outside, some spoon carving, and hopefully more sewing! And of course, lots of natural dyes.
